Citadel Combat Cards (1994)
When but a wee nipper of a lad, card collecting was one of those “must do” brain-needs. A vast majority of 80s and 90s children would become feverish at the thought of getting their reaching hands onto everything from Garbage Pail Kids to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and few properties of the era did not capitalise on launching a line of paper thin cardboard with a collection of printed endorphin rushes on the front*.
In 1988, Citadel Minatures released a collection of Top Trump style cards that was both a game in itself, a game in White Dwarf** and a not-quite-painting guide.
These things flew from the shelves, causing GW to return to the well more than once over the years, with the current iteration being something more akin to simplistic Magic:The Gathering rather than a Top Trumps affair***
With that in mind, here's a smattering of the 1994 Warhammer Fantasy release of Combat Cards for your perusal and enjoyment!
